 Tour Description

To start with a morning travel, you will be picked up at your accommodation on time and drives directly to Merapi Lava tour area. Embark on a thrilling adventure with the Merapi Jeep Sunrise and Jomblang Tour, where nature's wonders and cultural experiences come together for an unforgettable journey. Begin your day by conquering the majestic slopes of Mount Merapi in a sturdy and iconic jeep, as the first rays of the sun paint the sky with hues of orange and pink. The Merapi sunrise promises a breath-taking panorama of the surrounding landscapes, including the mystical silhouette of the volcano.

After soaking in the mesmerizing sunrise, the adventure continues with the Jomblang Tour, taking you deep into the heart of Java's underground marvels. Explore the Jomblang Cave, a mystical vertical cave that unveils an otherworldly realm adorned with mesmerizing rays of light filtering through the dense forest canopy above. Descend into the abyss, where an ancient subterranean river and unique rock formations create a surreal environment, making this caving experience both thrilling and enchanting.

The next destination, you will be driven to Timang beach. The name “Timang” is taken from a big boulder that breaks the waves which is located in the middle of this ocean. This biff boulder is called Timang Island. Timang Island becomes the main attraction for tourists. It is because the Gondola. It was made in 1997 and was used by the fishermen who wanted to look for seafood such as lobster to cross the ocean because it was impossible for them to reach that island on boat since the waves and the sea water stream are heavy. Finally, this gondola was created to facilitate them in finding lobsters

When you are finished with beach, you will be dropped off at your hotel. End of service.

Itinerary:

• 03.40 AM – 04.00 AM: Pick up at your hotel to go Merapi Volcano area
• 04.00 AM – 05.50 AM: Start going to the viewpoint (Bunker Kaliadem) by 4×4 Jeep
• 05.50 AM – 07.00 AM: Explore the surrounding volcano area by visiting Museum Sisa Hartaku a
• 07.00 AM – 09.00 AM: Proceed to Jomblang Cave Basecamp
• 09.00 AM – 09.30 AM: Morning tea/coffee & prepare equipment before entering cave
• 09.30 AM – 12.00 PM: Jomblang Cave exploration by doing rappelling
• 12.00 PM – 12.30 PM: Have a local lunch before leaving for hotel
• 12.30 PM – 13.30 PM: Proceed to Timang Beach
• 13.30 PM – 15.30 PM: Explore Timang Beach
• 15.30 PM – 17.00 PM: Return transfer to hotel. End of services!

 

YOU HAVE TO KNOW BEFORE YOU GO:

• Please be ready 15 minutes before meeting time. The tour will depart from the Meeting point/your accommodation
• Tour will take place both rain and shine
• Reservation can be done at least two days in advance

 

What to Bring in the tour

• Please wear slippers so it is easy to change shoes.
• Cameras that shoot in low light are best for photography in the cave
• Please bring extra clothes in case you need to change
• Dry Bag – since the mud can get quite messy, it super helpful to put your valuables inside a dry bag instead of in your pockets.
• Travel Towel – at the end of the experience, you will be able to wash up. Having a quick dry towel is perfect here to clean up and change into a new pair of clothes.

 

Terms and conditions:

• Hotel pick up and drop off are available within Yogyakarta City (hotels or train station)
• Hotel pick up and drop off from outside Yogyakarta City are considered as additional service.
• Airport Pick Up or drop off (Yogyakarta International Airport) is considered as an additional service.
• Reserve now & Pay Later (half down payment recommended as tour confirmation)
• If you reserve more than one month prior to date, we need at least 20% Down Payment from total amount as confirmation or as per agreement from both parties.

 

Cancellation policy

• For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
• If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
• Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
• Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
