Start your adventure as you are picked up from you Yogyakarta and travel to the magnificent Borobudur Temple. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is not just beautiful but also awe-inspiring as it stands as a remarkable ancient monument recognized globally. One of the most breath-taking moments in your journey is observing the grandeur and unparalleled uniqueness of the seated Buddha statues. On top of these wonders, the temple also has 2,672 relief panels that thread together an incredible narrative that provides an even more in-depth knowledge of Buddha's teachings and the rich historical tapestry that envelopes this stunning place.
After this exploration is complete you will embark on a 1.5-2-hour journey to the Prambanan Temple. This ancient masterpiece requires a two-hour exploration in order to immerse yourself in its history. This fascinating temple dates back to the tenth century and stands as Indonesia's most extensive temple complex dedicated to Lord Shiva. The three temples in the complex have been adorned with Ramayana reliefs, honouring the Hindu deities Shiva, Vishnu, and Brahma. Additionally, you will also discover the three temples paying homage to their devoted animal companions.
After you are finished with the Prambanan tour, you will be dropped off hotel in Yogyakarta. And tour ends.
