TOUR DESCRIPTION:

In the morning you will be picked up at your hotel or accommodation and driven direct to UNESCO world heritage, Borobudur temple. It takes one and half hour to reach the temple. Borobudur is not only a sheer building. If you are at the Borobudur should not just see a pile of stones and reliefs. There are still many flips side which can be learned from Borobudur. Spending more time to explore natural life of people in the surrounding and nearby villages. There you would gain the social and cultural values that exists and be well preserved.

This tour brings you traveling around villages by local transportation called Andhong or horse-cart. Along the trip can be seen beautiful sceneries and rural living. Planting of the rice paddies, grinding rice, making tofu, making various craft such as pottery, bamboo, making pottery and other activities you need to know. To complete your educational content along the tour, a local guide needed during this tour. Indonesia, especially in Java, has traditional land transportation that look really unique called ANDHONG. 

The Local people use it for its transportation from one place to another or from one village to another. Andhong is a carriage drawn by one or two horses. It is very popular and used in every rural village or small town in Java. Enjoy this traditional way of moving around the villages and discover how beautiful it is to move at a Slow Pace. Before going back hotel, we stop for lunch in local restaurant own your own (optional). Then the driver drops you off hotel in Yogyakarta.

Itinerary:

  • 06.45 - 07.00 am-> Pick up at Hotel (Yogyakarta)
  • 07.00 - 08.30 am -> Drive direct to Borobudur.
  • 08.30 - 11.00 am -> Visit & enjoy the temple.
  • 11.00 - 11.30 pm-> meet the horse cart tour guide at the meeting point.
  • 11.30 - 13.00 pm-> Start horse cart tour and do activities during tours.
  • 13.00 - 14.00 pm-> have lunch by your own before going back to hotel
  • 14.00 - 15.30 pm-> Drop off Hotel in Yogyakarta. Tour ends


YOU HAVE TO KNOW BEFORE YOU GO:

  • Please be ready 15 minutes before meeting time. The tour will depart from the Meeting point/your accommodation
  • The temple visit is possible to be reversed Horse-cart tour activities at the beginning, and Borobudur at the end.
  • Tour will take place both rain and shine
  • For lunch/breakfast, we choose a restaurant with food hygiene standard on your own. (optional)
  • Reservation can be done at least two days in advance

 

Terms and conditions:

  • Hotel pick up and drop off are available within Yogyakarta City (hotels or train station)
  • Hotel pick up and drop off from outside Yogyakarta City are considered as additional service.
  • Airport Pick Up or drop off (Yogyakarta International Airport) is considered as an additional service.
  • Reserve now & Pay Later (half down payment recommended as tour confirmation).
  • If you reserve more than one month prior to date, we need at least 20% Down Payment from total amount as confirmation or as per agreement from both parties.

 

Cancellation policy

  • For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
  • If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
  • Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
  • Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
